Kobe: A Man or A Stadium

It was a Hollywood ending. Jack Nicholson couldn’t have scripted it better. Kobe Bryant’s last game was a fairy tale from start to finish, and completely what we (very ignorantly to be honest) expected. Black Mamba fans were hoping for a 40 point game. Although it was very unrealistic that a 37-year old would go and ball out on his last game of a long and exhausting 20-year long career, there was something in everyone’s heart that just hoped and believed in the Mamba’s killer instinct.
Then, it happened. Kobe puts on one of the most memorable performances in NBA history to seal his career off with an exclamation mark. But, what caused this to happen? How is that even possible for God’s sake? HOW? You know it’s a whole level of craziness when one of your closest friends calls right after the game to tell you that the NBA is scripted and that it’s all fake. That’s how shocked people were. Well, what if I told you that was not scripted, and that there is a reason why this happened.

A lot of things needed to line up for this magical performance to happen. Of course, Kobe needed to be relatively healthy, start off the game with a good rhythm, have his teammates be “okay” with him jacking up shot after shot, etc. But, let’s look deeper. For this season, and trust me it was this season only, everyone loved and supported Kobe. Everyone who hated Kobe in the previous years (Celtics fans, LeBron fans, Kings fans from 2002, everyone, etc.) supported him in his last quest as a Laker, mostly because they knew they weren’t a threat. However, the point is Kobe had full support. Thousands of people cheered in the Staples Center and from all over the world. The energy from Mamba Day was definitely felt, and the power of intention manifested the incredible performance to occur. Not only that, but 2016 is a year of enlightenment and awakening. Unbelievable events like this one will be manifested throughout the year thanks to people’s renewed unity, belief, and positive vibrations.
I guess what we can learn from the 5-time Champ’s performance is that everything is possible through will and determination. If you have faith and confidence in your ability, the sky is the limit. Not only that, but this maybe marks the start of a chain of positive events that are to come in the near future.
Believe it, and it will happen.
